Culinary Institute of America hosts Trusted Veal from Europe Workshop

On November 30, 2020, students, faculty and staff members of the Culinary Institute of America took part in a live stream veal workshop, held as part of European Trusted Veal campaign. The workshop was conducted by Chef Edgar Buhrs, who took the students through the preparation of several veal dishes and educated them on working with different types of veal cuts. Participants were also briefed on various aspects of the Trusted Veal campaign and were able to ask questions via chat on the campaign and European Trusted Veal.

The “Trusted Veal from Europe: A Trusted Tradition” campaign aims to promote European veal among meat consumers in North America and Japan.

It is co-funded by the European Union and executed by the Dutch Meat Industry Association (COV) in order to raise awareness about European veal as a high-quality, safe alternative to other meats.
