Burgers with Aged Cheddar, Mushrooms and Ranch Sauce

Ingredients:

Ranch sauce
 125 ml (½ cup) mayonnaise
 60 ml (¼ cup) sour cream
 30 ml (2 tbsp.) fresh herbs (dill, chives, parsley), chopped
 Juice of ¼ lemon
Burgers
 15 ml (1 tbsp.) olive oil
 1 onion, sliced
 500 ml (2 cups) cremini mushrooms, sliced
 5 ml (1 tsp.) fresh thyme
 Juice of ¼ lemon
 800 g ground veal in 4 meatballs
 4 slices of aged cheddar
 4 hamburger buns

Preparation:

In a bowl, mix the ranch sauce ingredients. Set aside.

In a frying pan over medium heat, sauté the onions and mushrooms in oil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the thyme. Stir and set aside.

In a frying pan (or BBQ) over medium heat, cook the meatballs for about 4 minutes on each side. Place a slice of cheddar on each meatball.

Spread the ranch sauce over the buns, add the veal meatballs and top with the onions and mushrooms.
