The Foodex Food Fair took place in Tokyo from 5-8 March 2019. This well-visited fair was spread over 8 halls. A stand location was reserved for Trusted Veal in the hall where the country pavilions had stands. The stand was located across from the Dutch pavilion and across from the Dutch Embassy stand. The Ambassador, Mr Jacobi, the Agricultural Attaché, Mr Kraijenbrink, and his staff visited the stand. While enjoying a veal tasting, chef Edgar Buhrs informed them about the specific characteristics of the veal industry. The topics covered included animal welfare, animal health, food safety, labelling and tracking and tracing. Many visitors at the stand were informed about the programme while enjoying a bite of veal. Finally, the specific culinary options of veal were explained.
