Trusted Veal welcomes large delegation of Americans and Canadians during Trusted veal study tour

Last week, Trusted Veal welcomed a large delegation of American & Canadian attendees to tour veal farms and processing facilities throughout Holland. The second study tour of this year was part of the 3-year EU campaign in North America. The trip offered a unique insight into the production processes, sustainability, and culinary aspects of veal. The study tour started with a tour of different production locations. The guests gained insight into the modern techniques and high-quality standards that are used in veal processing. The end of the first day was dedicated to a visit to various veal farms. There guests were able to view the calves up close and were given insights into their care and nutrition.

The group then had an opportunity to look behind the scenes at facilities with a focus on producing high-quality calf feed and the importance of analytical and microbiological research of products for humans and animals. During the visit, Safety Guard and the strict safety and quality controls were also highlighted. Afterward, a research center was visited, where innovative methods in veal farming were presented. After the tour, attendees enjoyed a culinary workshop and lunch led by local chefs. The guests learned the tricks of the trade in preparing veal and enjoyed the creations. Then, a wholesaler and supermarket were visited. In addition to the educational visits, there was also time for Dutch culture. The delegation visited the historic Zaanse Schans and enjoyed a visit to Amsterdam, including an enchanting evening boat trip through the canals.
